Original Watercolor on Paper Entitled "Masks"By noted artist De Cost Smith, 19 1/2x15", signed right hand corner. DeCost Smith (1864-1939) Born in Skaneateles NY in 1864. He was best known for his understanding of Native American life and having the abilityto depict it in his art. Many of his works are of Native American life and sacred customs. A member of the American Ethological Society and Salmagundi Club. His works are in the American Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Native Americans in NYC.
