Popayan, Colombia, 2 reales, 1842VU, rare assayer for date. Restrepo-188.6; KM-97.2. 6.0 grams. Lightly rainbow-toned XF with weak rims (as made) but very nice overall, a rare date-assayer combination that is greatly undervalued in reference catalogs (note that the Dana Roberts specimen in similar grade realized $1,840).
