Lot 3 An Egyptian Bronze Harpokrates Figure
Egypt, Late Period, ca. 600 - 300 BC. A detailed seated bronze figure in pendant form; he sits nude, legs together with feet on a square base, right finger to mouth and left arm at his side. He wears the double crown of Upper and Lower Egypt with uraeus, as well as side lock of youth, a scarab pendant suspended from his neck. A gorgeous example with handsome features and crisp details. Nice glossy surfaces with attractive patination. 3-1/2"H, intact. Custom stand.
