From the ancient Near East, Indus Valley / Mohenjedaro, 2nd millennium BC. Red clay standing figure of female, of typical form associated with fertility - coffee-bean shaped eyes, hands outstretched, pert breasts, wide hips, exposed genatilia. Wonderful, incised detailing.
