Lot 103 A Chinese Carved Wood God
Southern China (Yao?), ca. 1900. Carved from polychromed wood in an animated portrayal of a ferocious god (Guan Yu?) wielding a sword (missing) riding a kylin (god of longevity). Note his left foot (missing) perched on a coin. 16?T, damage and paint loss (visible in photos), now stable overall good condition.
