^Lot 105 A Ming Dynasty Jade Qilin / Mythical Beast

Chinese, probably Ming Dynasty, 1368 - 1644. Well-carved brown, black and celedon green jade qilin / nian (mythical beast) with long, curly tail and wide open eyes; his ears are curled back and his long beard hangs down to mid-belly; note the defined spine in a curve as it twists back. Incredibly well-detailed. 3-1/4"H, intact.
