China, Qing Dynasty, 1644-1911. Apple-green jade model of a bear with with areas of light russet rivering; he stands with upheld paws, the defined spine in a curve as it twists back to the right, mouth partly open in a quasi-growl; the bifurcated tail extending up between the legs and to the stomach. 5"H x 3-1/4"W, intact/excellent condition.
