Lot 94a A Gandharan Stucco Fragment - Hands Holding Cornucopia
From ancient India, dating to ca. 300- 400 AD. Fragment from a larger statue, a pair of stucco hands holding a cornucopia (horn of plenty) which most likely came from a figural grouping of Hariti and Panchika. The female figure Hariti is typically seen holding the cornucopia during a banquet scene of sorts. 5-3/4"H, fragmentary. Custom stand.
