Nigeria. 19th Century AD. Linked human male and female heads, Edan and Onile, with loop holes connected with chain attachments and stick form iron base projections. The figures represented as portrait heads only from a Society of the elders representing wisdom, authority and power. Only used by the highly esteemed society elders. 10-3/8”H, wear oxidation. Complete with custom mount.
