Lot 2 Fleischer Studios Koko the Clown production drawing
(Fleischer Studios, 1930s) Original production drawing of Koko The Clown from an early 1930s Fleischer Studios Short. Accomplished in graphite on untrimmed 8 ¼ in. x 11 in. animation paper. The drawing features Koko, as he is about to jump back into the inkwell following Bimbo (whose shoes are visible above Koko’s right hand). Koko was Fleischer’s first cartoon star and original drawings are extremely rare. Koko’s image size is 4 in. x 3 ½ in.
