Lot 567 Ferdinand Horvath Signed Concept for The Ugly Duckling

(Walt Disney Studios, 1939) Early conceptual drawings dated 1936 for the 1939 Disney Silly Symphony “The Ugly Duckling”. Book Illustrator Ferdinand Horvath, worked at the Disney Studio from 1934-1937 mainly in development and design. He contributed to over 50 productions during that time. This piece features three images of a tiny duckling and is hand-signed and dated by Horvath. The piece is framed with a mat opening of 3 ½ in. x 5 ½ in. Each duckling is approx. 1 in. x 1 in.
