Lot 618 Original Yen Sid Concept Art by Joe Grant from Fantasia
(Walt Disney Studio, 1940) This dramatic original Concept drawing by Joe Grant features the Sorcerer Yen Sid from “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” sequence of Disney’s classic film Fantasia. This fantastic drawing was used on the Leica Reel (featured in a previous lot), a filmed visual storyboard, and was featured in John Canemaker’s book, Before the Animation Begins (page 61). Accomplished in pastel and pen and ink on animation paper. The art is matted with a mat opening of 8 in. x 10 ¾ in.
