Lot 642 Three original Dan MacManus Donald Duck drawings

(Walt Disney Studios, 1940) Daniel MacManus was an animator/effects animator with the Disney Studios from the 1940s through the 1970s. These three detailed drawings of Donald Duck were made specifically as a gift for Professor Francisco Montau at the University of California. Accomplished in graphite and color pencil on untrimmed 10 in. x 12 in. animation paper and accompanied by a letter from production coordinator Carl Nater dated August 29th, 1940.
