Lot 687 Walt Disney signed cels from Donald’s Camera and production background from Clown Of The Jungle
(Walt Disney Studios, 1941/47) Original production cels of Donald Duck and the Woodpecker from Donald’s Camera. The cels were trimmed to image at the studio and placed on a hand-painted production background from The Clown Of The Jungle for presentation. The artwork is still in its original studio mat boldly inscribed in red crayon, “To Frank Rejlek—My Best Wishes—Walt Disney.” Rejlek was an executive for Hasselblad Cameras and equipment, hence the camera-themed artwork. The entire piece measures 15 in. x 16 ½ in. The mat opening is 8 in. x 11 in. The image of Donald alone measures 6 in. x 5 in.
