China, Han Dynasty, Ca 200 BC/AD. Tall, thin pottery tomb attendant in buff terracotta decorated with remains of red slip. Standing at attention, his arms once made of wood now long lost to the ravages of time. Just under 20"H, repaired with losses, as shown.
