Superb patina! From ancient Rome, ca. 1st century AD. Solid cast bronze mount with lion's head decoration; the repousse muzzle has incised details around the mane, eyes and whiskers. Custom metal stand. Lion's head measures approximately 4-3/8"D, piece is intact/excellent condition.
