American social reformer (1860–1935) who shared the 1931 Nobel Peace Prize. TLS, one page, 5.75 x 9.25, Hull House letterhead, July 23, 1913. Letter to a woman in Massachusetts. In part: “I have not seen the book ‘The Romance of Botticelli’ but have today ordered it. Thank you very much for bringing it to my attention.” In fine condition, with some scattered light creases and wrinkles.
