Leader of Cuba (1901–1973) who was in office from 1940 to 1944 and from 1952 to 1959, at which time he was overthrown by Fidel Castro. DS, in Spanish, one page, 10.25 x 13.75, no date. Untranslated document regarding the literary aid organized by the Province of Havana in commemoration of Jose Marti (1853-1895) a Cuban revolutionary leader who was killed in fight for independence from Spain. In very good condition, with mild toning to document, heavier at edges, some scattered foxing, and signature over embossed seal.
