TLS, one page, 8 x 10.5, Federal Bureau of Investigation letterhead, August 3, 1937. Hoover writes David H. Steinle of Burlington, Iowa. In part: “I am very glad indeed that it was possible for you to visit the Federal Bureau of Investigation while you were in Washington recently in attendance at the National Jamboree of the Boy Scouts of America, and I sincerely trust that you enjoyed your visit with us.” In fine condition, with a couple of wrinkles, light uniform toning, and a few spots of soiling. Accompanied by a portrait bearing a facsimile signature.
