Financier, businessman, and comptroller general of Pennsylvania (1765–1852). Partly-printed DS, signed “Jno Nicholson,” one page, 6.25 x 4, August 17, 1796. Promissory note for $1000 plus interest, signed at the conclusion by Nicholson. In very good condition, with central vertical crease, mirroring of printed portions, trimmed left edge, and uniform toning.
