Rear admiral and arctic explorer (1790–1855) who attempted one of the earliest expeditions to the North Pole. ALS signed “W. Parry,” one page, 4.5 x 7, no date, but docketed in another hand October 25, 1851. Letter to Admiral Bowler accepting an invitation. In part; “I shall be glad to avail myself of your kind offer to take a bed as well as dinner at your house…I am just off to Haslar.” In fine condition, with a bit of light edge toning.
