Lot 355 Walker Mahurin
The first USAAF double ace in Europe and the first recipient of the Silver Star in the famous 56th Fighter Group. Original acrylic painting by Ray Waddey, canvas stretched over a wooden frame, 24 x 18, depicting Mahurin banking away from a fighter he just shot down, signed in black felt tip, “Walker A. Mahurin,” and also signed by Waddey. In fine condition.
