Vintage 14 x 11 paperstock photo of Nimitz signing the Japanese surrender aboard the USS Missouri, signed and inscribed in the lower border in fountain pen “To Senator J. Howard McGrath—with best wishes and great appreciation, C.W. Nimitz, Fleet Admiral, USN.” Image portion bears a printed signature of Nimitz as well. Portion of signature and inscription a few shades light, but still legible, and mild rippling and toning to edges, otherwise fine condition.
