AQS on an off-white 5.25 x 2.5 sheet. Ward pens the opening line from ‘The Battle Hymn of the Republic.’ In full: “’Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord.’” Signed underneath, “Julia Ward Howe, Oct. 10th 1890.” Matted and framed with an unsigned vintage portrait, to an overall size of 9.5 x 14.5. Uniform overall toning, a bit heavier to edges, and foxing to portrait otherwise very good condition.
