Composer, conductor and musical theorist (1896–1981) who was winner of the Rome, Pulitzer, and Peabody awards. Vintage 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Alfred Kaiser, with kindest regards—Howard Hanson.” Three diagonal surface impressions through portions of signature and inscription, a few light surface marks and creases, and a bit of scattered light silvering, otherwise fine condition.
