TLS, two pages, 6 x 7, personal letterhead, September 11, 1973. Letter to an admirer. In part: “Thank you for telling me that you’ve enjoyed my films—you have a remarkable memory and I feel very complimented that you have seen so many of my films and know them so well.” Crawford also adds a short postscript, signed “J. C.,” which reads, “No, I have no plans to appear in the movie of ‘Follies’—can’t imagine where that rumor ever started.” In fine condition, with mounting remnants to reverse of both pages.
