Legendary Hollywood production executive who took hold of Universal City at age 20, and supervised such films as Ben Hur and Mutiny on the Bounty. He died of pneumonia at age 37. Louis B. Mayer Studios, Inc., business check, 8.25 x 3.25, filled out in type and signed by Thalberg, “I Thalberg,” payable to Jacob Mayer for $40.00, April 3, 1923. In very good condition, with several vertical folds, scattered creases and wrinkles, several staple holes, a bit of light toning, and a small chip to top edge.
