Lot 1135 Alistair Cooke
Two TLSs and a typescript, with one letter signed “Alistair,” the other signed in full, both from 1943. One letter reads, in part: “From victory girls on the Gulf Coast giving rosemary to soldiers, to lumbermen in Oregon chopping down half the wood that goes into British planes, from the panicky deal of Miami hotel owners yielding their palaces to the Army Air Corps, to prospectors in Arizona flashing infra-red lamps on the hard face of mountains.” In very good condition.
