American actress (1907–1947) whose popularity grew with the advent of talking pictures, however, in the early 1940s, her popularity diminished and she soon retired. Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of Ames holding a bouquet of flowers by her face, signed in fountain pen, “Best wishes, Adrienne Ames.” In fine condition, with a bit of scattered light silvering to darker areas of image.
