The lithograph is also hand numbered in pencil "6/50" at the lower left margin.
It was printed was part of the deluxe edition of Chagall's 1960 Bible. the deluxe edition was published in a limited edition 50 signed and numbered impressions by Charles Sorlier in 1960. There are a further 10 artist proofs.
The paper bears the Arches watermark.
