Additional information: This ceramic is signed by the artist "Jean Cocteau" in the lower left part and dated "1958" in the lower right.
It is numbered at the verso "7/30" and inscribed in pen "Edition Originale de Jean Cocteau. Atelier Madeline-Jolly".
It was made in 1958 in Atelier Madeline-Jolly in Villefrance-Sur-Mer in an edition of 30.
At the age of 68, Cocteau decided to express himself in clay and so began a series of ceramics with the help of Madeline, a very skilled potter in Villefranche-Sur-Mer where Cocteau had a house.
