Additional information: This ceramic is signed by the artist "Jean Cocteau" in the lower right part.
It is also inscribed at the reverse in pen "Edition Originale de Jean Cocteau. Atelier Madeline-Jolly"
It was made in 1963 in Atelier Madeline-Jolly in Villefrance-Sur-Mer in an edition of 30.
At the age of 68, Cocteau decided to express himself in clay and so began a series of ceramics with the help of Madeline, a very skilled potter in Villefranche-Sur-Mer where Cocteau had a house.
Condition: Good condition. Light surface dirt (due to previous storage / humidity).
