Lot 352 Wells Fargo Card c1911-1918 - General Americana

Measures 4” x 2.5” Card number L7268. Some wear, there a mark in the lower right corner. And the bottom half of the card has a dark Issued to “Mr. B. Rives Genl Frt. & Passgr. Agt Silver Peak Railroad Company.” These cards allow for free transport of personal packages for the year to the person issued. It was signed by WF & Co. Express President Burns D. Caldwell, who served for WF & Co. from 1911 to 1918. Caldwell is credited for producing the Wells Fargo Messenger, a publication which any employee was allowed to contribute to.
