Lot of 3: A 21 August 1861 check of Wells Fargo Co. (one of the earliest known Nevada checks, if not the earliest); 2) an 1862 check of Nevada Territorial governor Jame A. Nye by the hand of H.F. Rice (Wells Fargo agent and Carson City Mint officer); 3) a Baltimore American Mining Co. Receipt, the company was located in American Flat next to Gold Hill.
