Lot 973 High Grade Slabs with Visble Gold CO - Mineral Specimens
Lot of 4. 1) High grade gold quartz ore slab. Sunnyside Mine, San Juan County. Measures 1.55” x .50”. 0.27 Troy oz. 2), 3) & 4) “Butterfly" mirror image. All measure between 5.55” x 4.” Altogether weigh 1.62 troy oz. The Sunnyside mine is perhaps the most famous mine in the San Juan region because of a mining scandal in the early 20th century.
