^Lot 1029 Early Folding Miner's Candlestick c1880 - Mining Hard goods/Important Mining Publications

Unique folding unit. No markings. No known patent application. Steel construction, approx. 4.5" folded and 7" unfolded. The grooved hinge piece allows the spike, with its internal groove sliding on a riveted pin, to move forward or backward to lock or unlock, and allow for rotation and folding.
