Lot 1076 Abbreviated Miner's Candlestick AZ - Bisbee,Cochise County - Mining Hard goods/Important Mining Publ
Compact abbreviated model, obtained from Bisbee Arizona. Bisbee is located about 82 miles southeast of Tucson, and was founded in 1880 on copper, gold, and silver mining in the Mule Mountains. These little candlesticks were said to be worn by the miners on their miners' hats. Blacksmith fabricated, it measures 1 7/8" long. The thimble has a crown-like top edge, with symmetrical holes just below around the perimeter. The thumb lever is round and concave for ease of use. Steel construction, very good workmanship.
