Lot of 2 : A large, 6.25" long, and a small, 4.75" long. Each container holds brass balance scales. These are fold-down/ assemble type units, brass shows some oxidation. The larger model uses fine metal chain suspended round trays, 2" in dia., while the smaller unit uses string-suspended round trays, 1.5" dia. The larger container has gold lettering in the cover, with an eagle with shield at the center, shows some wear and tear. Inside there is a small hinged lid compartment in the upper left quadrant for scale weights (no weights inside). The smaller container has a satin padded inner lid, and does contain an open weight storage space with various scale weights. - Maish Collection
