Lot 1200 James Dewar Soda Bottle NV - Elko,Nevada Bottles
Hutchinson style bottle with gravity stopper, Elko Nevada Variety. The slug has embossed lettering, white in color. The bottle's heavy glass is clear in color. There is no maker's mark on the side or the base. These bottles were designed and patented by William Roorbach in 1885. James Dewar, a Scotsman, began his soda business in 1892. His business was known as Elko Soda Works, and continued until 1899, when he sold it to a fellow Scotsman named John McFarlane. Mint condition.
