Lot 1216 Coca-Cola Seltzer Bottle NV - Las Vegas,Clark County - c1933 - Nevada Bottles

“Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Las Vegas. Nevada Contents One Quart” is silk screened in red ink beneath a vignette of Hoover Dam. Bottom bears no maker’s mark. Measures 12 inches tall, including top, by approximately 4 inches wide. The top of the bottle is stamped, “A. EBERT BKLYN. N.Y 48” and the glass siphon tube is broken at the tip. Clear glass, little outside wear, some staining. Boulder Products used the start of the Hoover Dam construction project in 1933 as an occasion to promote their popular Coca-Cola drink, and “may have been the single largest contract for the consumption of Coca-Cola in the company’s history” [Ref: Nevada History Through Glass, Vol 1, Fred Holabird, 2012, p. 46]. - Jacobitz Collection
