Lot 1430 James Watson Company Decanter Saloon
James Watson & Co was a whisky blender from Dundee, Scotland. The company operated throughout the 1800s and early 1900s and became famous for its #10 Whisky, for which a patent was filed in 1815. A pristine 7.5” tall by 4.5” wide globular water decanter with a vibrant cranberry colored kick-up base inscribed “Watson’s/ Dundee/ Whisky.” in white enamel. Long neck with scalloped facets. No chips. Absolutely gorgeous. A very rare and unique find. - Jacobitz Collection
