Lot of 2: 1) Slug marked THE NOBLE BUFFET BELTINK & RITTER OAKLAND, CAL. on this one pint clear glass bottle. Top is neatly applied, single collar, un-ground. There are air vent holes on shoulders and some small bubbles. This is a post-1906 earthquake sample. Gus J. Beltink opened the Noble Bar on 14th St. In 1904. In 1906, he formed a partnership with George P. Ritter that lasted 10 years [Ref: Picnics, Coffins, Shoo-Flies, Thomas, 1974]. 2) Slug inscribed LANDREGAN & WHITE WHOLESALE LIQUOR MERCHANTS OAKLAND, CAL. on this half pint, clear glass coffin, with single collar, neatly applied, un-ground top. James Landregan went into partnership with a Mr. White in 1907. The business was on 61st St. and closed in 1920 because of Prohibition [Ref: Picnics, Coffins, Shoo-Flies, Thomas, 1974]. - Feisel Collection
