Antique European 3-Band Percussion Doglock Military Rifle, Altered from Flintlock, Perhaps Swedish Husqvarna, NVSN, .80 cal., 41" round barrel, brass blade front and no rear sights, bayonet lug 1.5" under muzzle; flat lockplate marked "H" under large nipple bolster has hinged "dog" safety behind military hammer; brass fittings incl. trigger guard with sling swivel, peaked buttplate marked "95", serpentine sideplate, 3 spring-retained bands (middle with sling swivel, upper band/nosecap retaining the barrel-tip ramrod). Oil-finished walnut fullstock. Condition is good, the barrel being smooth brown showing evidence of cleaned pitting and provision for missing rear sight (?) below lower band, lock having cleaned pitting obscuring any markings, age-toned brass. Stock is sound showing light marks, having been smoothed, re-stained and oiled. Action is strong, bore shows scattered oxidation, sharp rifling. Est.: $750-$1,000. (Antique)
