Civil War-Era Lefaucheux Model 1854 Single Action Military Pinfire Revolver, #79180, 12mm cal., 6.25" round barrel marked "E. Lefaucheux Brte.S.G.D.G. a Paris" on top; plain 6-shot round cylinder; open-top frame is marked with 3 tiny "(crowns)" at right lug, "IF" and serial number below, oval Lefaucheux logo at left side overstamped "L:I23 No. 63b No. 18", has sliding ejector rod and hinged loading gate at right, integral straps with lanyard ring at oval butt (electro-penciled "140414 2471"), 2-pc. varnished walnut grips. Mfg'd ca. 1854-70. Condition is near excellent retaining approx. 75% deep original barrel blue, 99% to cylinder, and softly-mottled case colors. Grips are sound and smooth having light marks, lovely grain, color and finish. Action is strong and crisp, bore is bright with sharp rifling, 1" light oxidation at muzzle. Est.: $1,200-$1,800.
