Simmons rib mounted, which extends to the rear of the receiver, a 2-3/4" chamber, target beads, and is choked Full. The action is standard Model 12 but has engine-turned bolt and lifter. The receiver has been extensively engraved after market by W. Stewart, including hunting scenes on both sides surrounded by floral scrolls with gold inlaid ducks, pheasant, and pointing dog. The new full beavertail forend and pistol grip Monte Carlo buttstock are of "C" Grade light walnut, gloss finished, with fleur-de-lis patterns and checkering at 22 LPI, custom grip cap with duck engraved in pewter, and a Pachmayr Whiteline Trap Model recoil pad. Stock dimensions are 14-1/2"x1-3/8"x2". Originally mfg'd 1951. Condition is very good as upgraded, with some handling marks to wood, carry wear to bottom of receiver, and moderate wear to action, which closes tight and functions correctly; bore is bright.
