Hi-Standard U.S.A. Model H-D Semi-Automatic Pistol, #119448, .22 L.R. cal., 4.5" medium-weight barrel, serrated blade front and square-notched drift adjustable rear sights, external hammer, high-gloss blue finish, external safety, black two-piece checkered hard rubber grips, external safety and ribbed trigger, with an unmarked two-tone 10-rd. magazine. Mfg'd 1944. Pistol is in fine+ overall condition retaining approx. 93%-95% factory high-gloss blue finish, with light scratches on the barrel and wear at the muzzle. Top of barrel is marked "PROPERTY OF U.S.A."; left side of slide is marked "HI-STANDARD/U.S.A. MODEL H-D"; right barrel lug is marked "PROPERTY OF U.S." with the crossed cannons symbol. Grips are very good with small chips at the bases of both panels near the magazine well. Action is crisp, bore is very good with clearly defined rifling. The USA Model HD was developed in response to the government's need for a training pistol similar to the Colt Model 1911. Mfg'd from only 1943-1945. Est.: $600-$800. (C&R/PPT)
