British Webley Double Action Pocket Revolver, #13896, .38 S&W cal., 3" barrel, blued finish, checkered black plastic grips, blade front sight and fixed "U"-notched rear sight. Marked on right side frame "WEBLEY PATENTS". Left side frame marked with the Webley trademark "Winged Bullet/W&S", and "Mark III .38" on the left side barrel strap. Top of barrel strap is retailed marked "COGSWELL & HARRISON LTD/226 STRAND/& 141 NEW BOND ST. LONDON." Matching numbers on barrel and cylinder. Condition overall is very good with the metal retaining approx. 80% bright blue finish, with wear and patina to the grip area and scratches and patina spots across the frame, barrel, and cylinder. The straw-colored hammer and trigger show darkening and scratches. Left side grip is good with wear to the checkering; right side grip has a thru-crack, otherwise good. Action locks up, cycles, and ejects smoothly; bright bore is excellent with well-defined rifling; chambers are clean and bright. Est.: $600-$800. (C&R/PPT)
