Stevens "Hunter's Pet" Pocket Rifle No. 34, with Attachable Shoulder Stock, #880, .32 CF cal., heavy 18" octagonal tip-up barrel, hooded Beach front sight and folding leaf rear, marked "J. Stevens & Co., Chicopee Falls, Mass. Pat. Sept. 6, 1864" at left angled flat; large-size frame has central hammer, rebounding firing pin, knurled release button at left, integral spur trigger sheath and slotted grip straps (for stock attachment), 2-pc. varnished walnut grips. Nickel-plated 11.5" skeleton stock marked "880". Mfg'd ca. 1872-1900. Condition is fine retaining approx. 85% original blue, 95% original nickel (scattered minor roughness), sharp edges and markings. Grips are sound with light marks and added finish. Stock retains traces of nickel, spots of light erosion. Matching serial numbers. Barrel hinge is tight, action is crisp, bore shows light roughness, very good rifling. Est.: $1,500-$2,000. (C&R)
