^Lot 337 Remington Model 1903-A3 Bolt Action Rifle

Remington Model 1903-A3 Bolt Action Rifle, #3712718, .30-06 cal., 24" barrel, parkerized finish, walnut stock set, blade front sight and adjustable sliding aperture rear sight. A fair condition U.S. M1907 leather sling is attached to the swivels. Marked "U.S. REMINGTON MODEL 03-A3" on top of receiver ring. Barrel behind the front sight is marked "RA/(Flaming Bomb)/2-43". There is a boxed "FJA" cartouche on the left-side stock wrist over stamped with a boxed "S S.A.A." cartouche. There is a boxed "O.G." cartouche on the left side of the buttstock and two firing proofs on the underside of the wrist. Condition overall is very good with the metal retaining approx. 95% of its parkerized finish. There is a repaired area to the underside of the forend, otherwise the wood is very good, with the added finish now darkened and showing scattered handling marks. Action operates smoothly, bright bore is excellent with well-defined rifling. Est.: $800-$1,000. (C&R)
