Winchester Model 1897 Takedown Field Grade Slide-Action Shotgun, #422453. 12 ga. 30" plain barrel has 2-5/8" chamber and is choked Full. Action features an external hammer with half-cock safety and no sear interrupter. The round grooved forend and pistol grip buttstock are Field Grade walnut, with a plain plastic buttplate. Mfg'd 1909. Condition is good to very good as well used. Wood has numerous handling marks and several small splits at the receiver, which retains approx. 50% blue; barrel 70%. Action is a bit sticky with age but locks tight and functions correctly; bore is bright. Est.: $350-$500. (C&R)
